New Gundam announcements from the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026

Latest Gunpla model kit related news from the Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026 in Japan.

We are getting a new model kit in the Full Mechanics Line, the FM 1/100 Graze Eins. A very welcome surprise. Will be released in Japan in January 2027.


Another two kits from the Gundam X series have been announced continuing the 30th anniversary celebration of the anime. Alongside the previously announced HG Gundam Leopard (releasing in Japan in August 2026),

we will be getting the HG Gundam Virsago (Japan release date of October 2026)

and HG Ashtaron (Japan release date of November 2026).

In the Master Grade line we will be seeing two new releases, the MG Gundam Liberty Astray Red Frame releasing in Japan in December 2026


and the MGSD Kshatriya, releasing in Japan in September 2026. The Kshatriya looks amazing with its huge binders housing the funnels and sub-arms.


Previously announced kits also saw more details shown off.
The HG Hambrabi releasing in Japan in June 2026 was on display showcasing its transformed form.


The revived design of the HG Gouf Ignited Heine Westenfluss Custom releasing in July 2026 in Japan.

Fans of the non-Gundam Real Grade kits can look forward to the RG 1/48 AV-98Plus Ingram Plus (June 2026, Japan). Based on the new upcoming anime film's design of the Patlabor.
